Ellen Low

Managing Partner & Principal Lawyer

Ellen Low started her career at Gowlings and was later a partner at Whitten & Lublin. After a decade of practising exclusively in employment law and HR relations, she started her own boutique firm, Ellen Low and Co. Employment Law. She obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa in the Common Law (English) program and was called to the Bar in Ontario in 2008.

Ellen spent part of her last year of law school participating in an international law project based in Nairobi, Kenya. While earning her undergraduate degree at Queen’s University, she played rugby and studied in Cortona, Italy. She is a member of the Labour and Employment Section of the Ontario Bar Association, Women in Law, Toronto Lawyers Association, and The Advocates’ Society. Ellen regularly represents her clients in court and at tribunals, but is equally well versed in mediation advocacy where she assists clients in navigating alternative dispute resolutions and negotiated settlements.
